jahi quasim reeberg is an Afropean visual storyteller, researcher, writer, Afro-futurist, time traveler, archivist, dreamer, and painter. their practice unfolds as a visual diary—a fusion of color, language, reflection, and dialogue. rooted in his Cultural and Spiritual identity, anti-colonial theory, Afro-futurism, and the practice of Imagining Otherwise, their Art proposes a move away from individualism and has evolved towards holding space for Liberatory praxis by developing Our collective consciousness. 

jahi invites viewers to engage with Black, trans, and Queer spirituality—not as fixed truths, but as living legacies. by returning to his Ancestors and cultural roots, they transcend various geographies and historic constellations, bringing these stories together in urgent, immersive, and often vibrant paintings that exist both within and beyond the archive. their art contributes to the ongoing process of structural change, made possible through a Wayward choice of vulnerability. in doing so, he opens a space for others to share their embodied knowledge: a field of reciprocal recognition, (re)Memory, and Wayward Imagination.
